Memories Encountering life is also about remembering life. Pictures are one way to stay connected to our past adventures and those people we did them with. My friends and I are constantly looking back at each other's pictures for the fun of it. Sometimes I have a lot of pictures from one time either on a trip, at a party, or something similar. It's not always the most convenient thing to scroll through countless unimportant pictures from that trip. So how do we solve this problem? My Solution As a little girl, I began to print out my favorite pictures and tape them on a page with descriptions or other artistic decorations and calling it a scrapbook. I would be the last person to say how artistic I was then and am now. When it comes to creativity, I am not nearly at the level of some of my peers. What keeps me doing it is not because of my skill but because of the enjoyment that comes with putting pictures together in an organized way so I can easily look back through deli

Board Games

Board Games One thing that has brought my family together closer is the competition found in a good old board game. What makes board games so intense? Is it the set up? The picking of one's character? The strategy that plays out in a number of the games? What about the winning? Does the competition play out in the enjoyment of this activity? From my own personal experience, playing board games forces those I'm competing with to socialize with each other. We sit down without our phones, laptops, or work related things to have fun as a family or group of friends. I believe in this day and age many people are lost in the connection of electronics and missing the quality of life that comes from the company of personal relationships. Trust me, if you don't pay attention while playing a game, you will either miss something important another player did or miss your turn. Which one?
